Hardware Explorations
Shadowstep was asked to explore Xfinity’s approach to rendering their hardware in three unique directions — the bold, color-forward treatments of “Expressive Color World,” the sophisticated, slightly fantastical “Semi-Real” and the versatile “Neutral” look.
The result is a fresh take on visualizing Xfinity’s hardware family and a codified point-of-view for future renderings.

Expressive Color World
Expressive Color World captures the essence of the Xfinity hardware to the fullest extent of the brand. Hardware is the hero within abstract environments informed by Xfinity shape language and featuring either a single brand color or combination of brand colors depending upon which of the following two creative executions is chosen.
Semi-Real
For in-home situations or when hardware should express its function or value in a less graphic manner. Calculated use of brand colors, natural lights, and familiar tactile real-world material treatments are the foundation of the Semi-Real style.
Neutral
Xfinity brand-colored lights offer a nuanced, respectful approach to brand presence in executions featuring third-party hardware. Neutral materials honor real-world product color values and surface properties.
